A Day with a Special Family

- This weekend through yesterday I was blessed to spend the day helping one of our favorite families, to have some needs met for their daughter Lexie, who is scheduled for brain tumor surgery again the last part of August. Since her condition is very unsure, they wanted to have a family trip for her and siblings. They came to Tyler to stay at a camp for families north of Tyler and Wings was able to help them get a hotel in Tyler and admission to the Children’s Discovery Science museum and dinner at Newkts.
- If it wasn’t for several donors we have had lately this would have been impossible. These children, especially Lexie, are very sweet, and non complaining. Thank you donors, so much for helping to make their family time so good before they all have to go to Houston Children’s for surgery!
- Please pray for the surgery and for funds for their family. The parents both lost their jobs because of having to make trips to Houston for Lexies medical treatment. They need to move to an area where He can get a job. He is a welder by trade. Plus, the trips to Houston cost alot since the McDonald House has not taken any new families since COVID. Please pray for them as they try to have basic living expenses covered as well as dealing with a daughter with major health concerns. They are trying to have faith that God is in control even in this! Please pray for their job situation, financial needs for living as well as extra for their Houston trips.
