About

Since Wings has virtually no overhead: Because all workers are unsalaried and the office is located in the Wylie home, 100% of contributions will go for outreach supplies, transitional living expenses, and help with education and job training for many of the ladies who have left the club employment behind.

Wings began in 2002, embracing a call to see East Texas strip clubs experience the
healing and powerful love of Jesus Christ. Sherry Barnes and another woman from
Tyler petitioned the Magdalene Project to be a branch of their outreach to Austin’s 9 clubs. 2 years later, Sherry and the other leader handed the reigns over to the current president, Karen Wylie, a volunteer.

In 2014 Wings became a 501C3. Wings (When in Need God Supplies), believes in loving the broken with the unconditional love of God through Jesus Christ and does that by serving dancers and club owners.

Finally, Wings is a faith based non-profit with the foundation based on Christian principles and truths from Scriptures with the ultimate goal to introduce each lady who is open, to the gospel and life possible in Jesus Christ.

What We Do

Wings volunteers have a heart to befriend and minister the love of Jesus by entering the clubs bi-monthly with gifts of meals, snacks, and gift bags, engaging in conversations with the dancers on their break times with a desire to develop friendships outside their work place.

Our Mission

Wings Ministries is an outreach to the dancers of the clubs in Tyler Texas. WINGS means, “When in Need God Supplies” and exemplifies this belief by taking gifts into the clubs for the young women working there, befriending them outside the clubs, and helping them with basic living needs, ultimately sharing with them the gospel of the love of Jesus Christ. Wings endeavors to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to the dancers and their families in and outside the clubs.
