This week I have been able to be around a young woman we met during the grocery project at the beginning of the COVID issues. Over the last 2 years we have met off and on for bible study, more groceries, and some help that Wings has been able to supply for her as she lost the club job when it went out of business, and became pregnant with her second daughter. We have discussed the love of Jesus and His desire for her to know Him. She really has a tender heart and came close to receiving Jesus a few months ago but has not been able yet to get past feeling unworthy.

Wings just provided boxes of diapers and wipes and some clothing items for the baby today. I visited her in the hospital here after she had her daughter and she and her grandmother just dropped by to pick up those items. I really know the love of Jesus and His gospel is best shared by acts of love. People in the world cannot understand why anyone or group would show love to them we aren’t related to or long time friends with. They really cannot understand why we would show love to them when their lives haven’t been holy! The funny thing is, that is the very heart of the gospel!! No one ever born on earth is holy enough to deserve this kind of love!

Please pray for her, S……, and that I will be able to have some more times with her even though she now lives in another small town 30 minutes away.

Please also pray for N……. She is another lady we have known for 15 years who worked in the large club here that actually quit the club before COVID hit and the club closed. She has grown in the Spirit so much over the last few years of bible study and prayer time. She was re-baptized this last Sunday at my church, Rose Heights. She has made lots of progress in her relationship with Jesus over the years and with healing from many issues of being sexually abused. I believe in all the ladies I have met, there has not been one who wasn’t abused as a child, or young person. N…. had multiple issues of abuse from many different people and is still dealing with some of those issues. Please pray for complete restoration of her value and deliverance from PTSD and other trauma side affects.

Please continue to pray for H…….. who now resides in another town a few hours away. She moved there to find work when the large club closed and we have tried to keep up with her, connected her with a friend of mine who has much experience in disciple making. She needs prayer for her spiritual and physical health. She has prayed to receive Jesus and seems to understand the concepts of some of the bible studies we did but its hard to break away from the things in a life that can keep you from knowing the day to day love of the Savior. She is a precious sweet lady and we are grateful for prayers for her to have a revelation of Jesus in her soul!

One lady, Ch….. whom Wings has helped with education has not replied to my texts in awhile and the last time I heard from her she was very ill and her mother, whom she has lived with the past 2 years was also. Please pray that she and I can resume a relationship. She also quit the large club before COVID hit.

Thank you for praying for M……. She is a wonderful full of faith lady we met years ago in the large club. She has been in transition from jobs and now has a 6 month course to complete to be able to have a profession that can make what she needs to support her and her 2 sons. She also became a believe through our church and attends there faithfully. She needs more clients in her new field of work. Thanks for your prayers for her.

Thanks to many donors we have had adequate funds to help all of these ladies with cost of living bills, including rent, utilities, food, eduction, phone, and gas. Blessings on those of you who have sacrificed your own living costs to help these ladies!

Lastly, we will be going into the one club we have left here on Saturday, October 23rd. Susan and I will be taking gift bags provided by Green Acres Baptist Womens’ ministry, under the leadership of Cindi Pruitt. I am so grateful to these churches who have come on board to help in this way. Its expensive and time consuming for them to get these bags together. And i know they pray for each woman we will engage in conversation and hopefully become friends with outside the club.

We have wonderful women’s groups in Tyler, including Green Acres Baptist, Lindale’s Bethesda Church, Community Christian Fellowship, Lindale, and Salt Bible study, Lindale, who regularly help us with gifts for these outreaches.
