| Greetings Fellow Prayer Warriors:We had a wonderful outreach last Friday the 26th at the Visions club. My husband Joe, chaperoned in the car and I went in with the gift bags, made for us by a Women’s bible study from Green Acres Baptist church. One of the young men who works there came out and helped me carry the boxes of bags in. I have finally memorized his name after about 5 visits! He is really a sweet young man and I would appreciate your prayers for him that He would find the creator of his body, soul and spirit and decide to give his life to Jesus!I had really good time with about 11 ladies with whom I engaged in conversation. One of the first ones I talked with was S…. who said she knew me from whenever we came into the big club in town that went out of business during COVID. She was putting on her make up as we spoke and I renewed my knowledge of her life, with her kids etc. She and I know some of the ladies that I met through the grocery outreach project we began in the summer of COVID. We were able to catch up on those ladies. I feel like she heard everything I said to them as a group and also some of my conversations with a few of the others standing around. She seemed open to me in her spirit. The second one I talked with was a blonde that I hadn’t remembered but she remembered me from the other club also. We talked briefly and then she went out to the stage to work. There were several ladies that I got to renew who they were from the last time and a little refresher of their life situation, kids, husband or not, parental support and other profession ambitions. One lady was one who had called me during the first grocery project and she seemed more down than normal. I could tell she was on something or very intoxicated. My heart went out to her because the last time I came she was not in that state and we talked more. Please pray for her. I do have her number and whenever God leads I hope to call each of them I do have numbers for and invite them to lunch or dinner in the next few weeks. She will be one on the list. Another dark complected black haired pretty lady and I had a conversation and then I asked if anyone there needed prayer that night and she said ‘I always need prayer.” I asked her what she needed and she said there was much friction between her and her sisters. I immediately told her about my relative that I have had problems with. I told her that God had lead me to be silent for awhile with my relative and I prayed for her and something changed after a year of not talking. So I prayed for this lady and her sisters that God would lead her to know when to not say anything and I prayed for each of them to be more conscious of their need for each other and aware how to set aside their differences. Next outreach I will pick up where we left off with that situation if I get to see her. One of the ladies, a really tall one with glasses and I had a talk and discovered the reason we knew each other was from the grocery project. The first thing she said to me was under her breath quietly, ” I really tried to quit working here the last time I saw you.” “But nothing I did made as much money as I need to make.” I found out that she has kids and a husband. I told her Wings has helped another lady who needed to make more money than her CNA job since she quit the club and that I would help her get to possibly do a course in medical field that wld help her get a better job. She and I have texted this week and I am working on it. If anyone knows a job that pays more than 10$/hour that she could do while taking this training we may get her into please text or email me! I was really excited about how she is trying to work without being in the club! I know God answered my prayers about the ladies I would talk with. I talked with a few others but not with any ongoing plans. You can also pray for Nichole and her nephew Devin who is living with her. They both came to my church Sunday and I will be doing bible study with them these next weeks. I was able to connect Devin with my College director at church and he is going to begin going to bible study with that group at Jarrod’s home next week. Please pray for Jarrod and Devin as they meet. Devin, who is a HS senior this year, has been on his own for several years because his mom has been in substance addiction for several years. He is a sweet young man and seems open to growing as a believer. Also, please pray for Christy, a lady Wings has helped to enroll in more medical training to get a higher paying job. She has been in and out of the hospital for extreme pain in her abdomen. She has repeated treatments over the years for something but this last 3 months she has not recovered from the problem. She needs her health back. Please also pray for H…. and S…… the 2 girls I was helping before Covid shut down the other club. One of them moved to Dallas and the other to her home town. I still have contact with them and pray they will desire to follow Jesus. One prayed to receive Jesus but we haven’t had bible study for a while. Thanks for all your support! Blessings!
